The Tung-Sol 6V6GT is a new-production reissue of one of the most beloved output valves in audio history. The 6V6 was originally developed in the late 1930s and became a defining element of American amplifier design — from vintage Fender combos to high-end Hi-Fi integrateds. Tung-Sol’s current Russian-made version preserves the warm, compressed character of the classic type while adding improved consistency and reliability.
Biased at modest plate voltages, the 6V6GT produces a characteristically smooth, rounded harmonic texture that many players and listeners find more musical than its larger siblings. It handles push-pull configurations beautifully and is equally at home in single-ended designs where its natural second-harmonic richness shines.
Compatible with any 6V6, 6V6GT or 6V6GTA socket position. Popular in Fender Deluxe, Princeton and similar circuits. Single valve, tested before dispatch.
