Description
The 1K5G is an octal battery pentode designed for use in the IF and audio stages of battery-operated portable radio receivers. Its very low heater current (50mA at 1.4V) allowed extended battery life in portable sets.
The ‘G’ suffix indicates a glass envelope. These NOS examples are of interest to restorers of vintage portable and battery radios.
