Description
The 6CL6 (also known as the 6197) is a sharp-cutoff beam power pentode originally designed for RF and IF amplifier applications in television receivers. Its characteristics — including moderate power handling and a noval base — have made it useful in valve organ circuits and some audio output stage designs.
While not a mainstream audio valve, the 6CL6 attracts interest from DIY builders and those restoring vintage equipment in which it was originally specified. Examples in good NOS condition are becoming increasingly scarce.
Noval (9-pin) base. Verify amplifier compatibility before use. Supplied as a single valve.
