Description
The 6U9 / ECF201 is a combination triode-hexode valve originally designed for frequency changer (mixer) applications in radio receivers. The hexode section acts as a signal mixer while the triode section provides the local oscillator function, making it a compact single-valve solution for superheterodyne radio circuits.
This valve is primarily of interest to enthusiasts restoring vintage radio equipment in which it was originally specified. NOS examples in good condition are becoming increasingly rare.
Noval (9-pin) base. Verify circuit compatibility before use. Supplied as a single valve.
