Description
The 6X8 is a combination triode-pentode valve in a noval envelope, originally designed for use in FM tuner front-end and converter stages as well as television circuits. It combines a sharp-cutoff pentode and a medium-mu triode in a single envelope.
This valve is of primary interest to restorers working on vintage FM tuner and television equipment in which it was specified. NOS examples are becoming increasingly difficult to source.
Noval (9-pin) base. Verify circuit compatibility before use. Supplied as a single valve.
