Description
A B9A 9-pin Noval ceramic valve socket with matching shield for chassis mounting. The B9A format is the most common small-signal valve socket in use, accommodating the 12AX7 / ECC83, 12AU7 / ECC82, 12AT7 / ECC81, EL84 / 6BQ5, and virtually every other 9-pin Noval valve in a standard audio circuit.
Ceramic construction withstands the elevated temperatures around output valve sockets and prevents contamination from soldering flux. The fitted shield reduces electrostatic pickup and microphonics, particularly useful in high-gain preamp positions. A practical and reliable component for new builds and restoration work.
Supplied as a single socket and shield unit.
