Description
This ceramic octal socket is designed for use in valve amplifier builds and restorations, accommodating any standard 8-pin octal (K8A base) valve including 6L6, EL34, KT88, 6SN7, 5AR4 and related types. Ceramic construction provides excellent heat resistance and electrical insulation properties, making it more durable than phenolic alternatives in high-power applications.
The dual-hole solder terminals simplify point-to-point wiring and provide a secure mechanical connection that resists valve vibration. A fork-type retaining spring locks the valve in place during operation. The socket supports both top-mount (valve pointing up) and bottom-mount (valve pointing down) orientations, with a 90° rotation option to suit different chassis layouts.
Suitable for DIY amplifier construction, amplifier restoration and socket replacement. Single socket.
