Description
The CV818 (VT-264, DL95, 3Q4) is a battery-operated power pentode designed for the output stages of portable battery-powered radio receivers, operating from a low-voltage plate supply. The B7G 7-pin base and battery operation distinguish this from mains-powered types.
NOS examples are of interest primarily to restorers of vintage portable battery radios requiring this type. These compact, low-power valves were used in quality pocket-sized receivers of the 1950s and early 1960s.
