Description
The EA50 / VR92 is a cold-cathode gas-discharge voltage regulator valve that stabilises at approximately 85–90V, used in military and professional regulated DC power supplies. The VR92 designation is the British military equivalent.
As with all cold-cathode regulator valves, operation requires the circuit to exceed the striking voltage to initiate the glow discharge, after which the valve maintains a near-constant voltage drop. New Old Stock.
