Description
The Electro-Harmonix 6AQ8 (ECC85) is a current-production twin triode preamp valve made at the Reflektor plant in Saratov, Russia. The ECC85/6AQ8 is a medium-mu dual triode originally developed for FM tuner and VHF amplifier applications, and is also used in a variety of preamp and driver circuits.
It is a 9-pin noval type with separate cathodes for each triode section, making it useful in balanced circuit topologies. The EHX version offers reliable, consistent performance as a direct replacement in any 6AQ8 or ECC85 application.
