Description
The Electro-Harmonix EL34 is one of the most popular power pentodes in current production — a new-made reissue of the iconic British output valve that defined the sound of Mullard-designed amplifiers and, by extension, much of British rock music through the 1960s and beyond.
The EL34 is a beam pentode rated at approximately 25W plate dissipation, delivering a characteristically vocal, harmonically rich tone with excellent transient response. It is the standard output valve in many of the world’s most iconic guitar amplifiers — Marshall, Orange, Vox AC30 (in some variants), Hiwatt — and is equally at home in high-end Hi-Fi push-pull designs.
Compatible with EL34, 6CA7 and E34L positions. A straightforward upgrade for Marshall, Orange, Hiwatt and Hi-Fi amplifiers using this valve type. Single valve, tested before dispatch.
