The Electro-Harmonix Gold 6SN7 is a high-quality, gold-pin version of the EHX 6SN7EH — a medium-mu octal twin triode designed for hi-fi preamplifier and driver applications. The gold pins minimise oxidation and provide a lower-resistance connection for improved long-term reliability.
The 6SN7 is one of the most celebrated preamp valve types of the post-war era, valued for its open, musical sound and low noise floor. It is widely used in Schiit Audio preamplifiers (including the Freya), Conrad Johnson, Audio Research and many boutique hi-fi designs.
