The Electro-Harmonix KT88 is a new-production beam power tetrode that builds on the legacy of GEC’s legendary original, introduced in the UK in 1956. The KT88 has long been the power valve of choice in high-end Hi-Fi amplifiers, capable of delivering over 40W in push-pull configuration with a sonic character marked by authority, dynamics and a particularly well-controlled bass response.
EHX’s Russian-made KT88 is built to consistent tolerances, making it a practical and cost-effective option for amplifiers that demand matched sets. Its robust construction and extended plate dissipation rating ensure long service life even in demanding circuits.
Compatible with KT88, KT90, 6550 and related positions in many amplifiers. Popular in Marshall, Dynaco, McIntosh and many Hi-Fi integrated amplifiers. Single valve, tested before dispatch.
