Description
The General Electric 7027A is a NOS American power pentode closely related to the 6L6GC but with a different octal pinout, making it specific to amplifiers designed for this type. GE’s American manufacture is of excellent quality, typical of their robust industrial valve production.
The 7027A was used in Ampeg, Valvemark, and Stromberg-Carlson guitar and hi-fi amplifiers. It is not pin-interchangeable with the 6L6GC despite similar electrical characteristics, so correct identification is important before installation. NOS stock of this type is becoming scarce.
Octal 8-pin base (different pinout from 6L6GC). NOS, made in USA by GE. A single valve is supplied.
