Description
The JJ Electronic ECC82 is the European designation for the 12AU7, a low-mu dual triode widely used in preamp driver stages and phase splitter circuits. JJ Electronic manufactures this valve in their Cadca factory in Slovakia to consistent modern standards.
The ECC82 / 12AU7 family is one of the most versatile preamp valves in production, appearing in guitar amplifiers, hi-fi preamplifiers, headphone amplifiers, and integrated amplifiers. Its lower gain compared to the 12AX7 makes it well suited to driver stages where a clean, linear response is required.
Compatible with any amplifier specifying ECC82, 12AU7, 5814, or CV4003. Noval (9-pin) base. Supplied as a single valve.
