Description
The JJ Electronic ECC99 is a high-current twin triode developed as a robust alternative to the ECC82/12AU7 for demanding driver and output-stage applications. Its significantly higher plate current capacity makes it well-suited for driving output valves in hi-fi amplifiers, as a direct-coupled headphone amplifier valve, or in phase-splitter positions requiring substantial drive current.
JJ designed the ECC99 to be pin-compatible with the standard B9A noval socket, making it a straightforward upgrade in circuits where the ECC82’s current limits cause compression or distortion. It is also used in some hybrid amplifier designs.
Equivalent to E182CC in some respects. Noval 9-pin base. A single valve is supplied.
