Made in Russia to modern production standards, this new-production valve delivers the characteristic warmth, bloom and three-dimensionality that made the Mullard name synonymous with quality.
The 12AX7 is the highest-gain small-signal preamp triode in common use (mu ≈ 100), making it the first-choice tube for the sensitive input stages of guitar amplifiers and phono preamps. Mullard’s long-plate construction reduces microphonics and contributes to the full, detailed midrange for which these valves are prized.
Compatible with any 12AX7, ECC83, 7025, 5751 (at reduced gain) position. Excellent choice for phono stages, Hi-Fi preamps and guitar amp V1 positions. Single valve, tested before dispatch.
