The Philips 6N3 (EY82) is a half-wave rectifier diode manufactured by Philips in Australia to NOS condition. Used in the power supply stages of vintage European-designed radio sets manufactured in Australia during the 1950s and 60s, it is of primary interest to restorers of period equipment.
The EY82 is the heater-cathode insulated version designed for series-heater string circuits common in AC/DC radio designs. Philips’ Australian production maintains the high quality standards of the parent company.
