Description
The Philips / AWV 6BM8 (ECL82) is a compound triode-pentode containing a preamp triode and an output pentode in a single envelope — the configuration that enabled compact, low-cost amplifier designs in vintage portable and table radios. These examples are genuine NOS Philips/AWV Australian production in mint original boxes.
The ECL82/6BM8 is one of the most common European compound output valves, used in countless radio sets from the late 1950s through the 1970s. It is of interest both to restorers of vintage equipment and to those experimenting with single-valve output stage designs.
Equivalents include ECL82, 6Ф3П (6F3P), CV9167. Noval 9-pin base. NOS, made in Australia. A single valve is supplied.
