Description
The 6080WC is a ruggedised, mil-spec version of the 6AS7G twin triode, originally manufactured to Joint Army-Navy (JAN) standards for use in regulated power supplies and precision instrumentation. Philips’ US production of this type is highly regarded for its build quality and longevity.
In audio applications, the 6080 / 6AS7 family has become popular for use as a shunt regulator in power supplies and as an output valve in low-power single-ended amplifiers, valued for its low plate impedance and ability to pass high current. It is the basis of designs from Cary Audio and others.
New Old Stock, made in USA. Equivalent to 6AS7G, CV2984, E6080, ECC230, 6H13C. Octal 8-pin base. A single valve is supplied.
