Description
A shielded mains power cable designed for use with Hi-Fi and valve amplifiers, preamplifiers, and other sensitive audio equipment. The shielding layer around the mains conductors reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiated by the power lead, which can otherwise be picked up by the amplifier chassis, transformers, or nearby interconnects.
In valve amplifier systems — where the mains transformer sits in close proximity to high-gain preamp stages — shielded power cabling can make a measurable difference to the noise floor. This cable provides a practical and cost-effective upgrade over standard unshielded leads.
