Description
The 6C33C (6С33С) is a remarkable and unique output valve — one of the very few indirectly-heated power triodes ever mass-produced, and certainly the most powerful. Originally designed for voltage regulation duty in Soviet military aircraft including the MiG-25, it was later adopted by high-end audio designers including BAT (Balanced Audio Technology) and Almarro, who recognised that its extreme current capability and unusual circuit requirements could yield extraordinary amplification when properly harnessed.
The 6C33C features a graphite plate and a septar (7-pin) base — unusual specifications that reflect its industrial-military origins. Running at very high heater current (6.3V, 6.6A) and capable of substantial plate dissipation, it demands a well-engineered host circuit. The sonic reward for those who work with it is a distinctive, deeply immersive sound.
For use in amplifiers specifically designed for the 6C33C. Single valve, tested before dispatch. Testing service available separately.
