Description
This Soviet military-specification B9A noval socket is fitted with a 62mm aluminium RF shield can — a feature particularly valuable in sensitive phono stages, where external electromagnetic interference can introduce audible noise, and in guitar amplifiers where shielding the preamp section is an effective way to reduce hum and hiss pickup.
The Soviet mil-spec construction ensures extremely secure valve retention and excellent long-term reliability. The shield can is removable if not required — sockets function normally without it. Solder pins are suited to both point-to-point hand wiring and PCB mounting.
Compatible with all standard 9-pin B9A noval valves including 12AX7, 12AU7, 12AT7, 6922, EL84, 12BH7, 6N6P, 6H30Pi, 6CG7 and related types. Single socket.
