The Sovtek 6L6WGC (also designated 5881) is a rugged, current-production power valve in the classic wafer-base construction, made at the Reflektor plant in Saratov, Russia. The 6L6 is one of the most widely used power valve types in the world, forming the sonic foundation of countless American guitar amplifiers — from Fender to Mesa/Boogie — as well as Hi-Fi designs.
This listing is for a factory-matched quad. All four valves are tested for current and transconductance, and matched to ensure balanced push-pull operation and extended service life. Unmatched output valves cause uneven power delivery, increased distortion and accelerated wear.
