Description
The Sovtek 6SC7 is a new-production octal dual triode equivalent to the VT-105 military type and the CV1969 / CV2716 British equivalents. The 6SC7 is a high-mu triode (mu ≈ 70) in an octal envelope, originally designed for use in audio preamplifiers and widely used in American equipment of the 1940s and 50s.
Sovtek’s current-production version provides a practical and cost-effective source of this type, which would otherwise only be available as increasingly scarce NOS stock. The valve delivers a warm, involving performance particularly suited to the vintage equipment it was designed for.
Compatible with 6SC7 and VT-105 positions. Single valve, tested before dispatch.
