Description
The Sovtek 6SL7GT / 6H9C is a new-production high-mu octal dual triode — a direct replacement for the classic American 6SL7 and its Soviet equivalent the 6H9C / 6N9C. With a gain factor approximately twice that of the 6SN7, the 6SL7 is well-suited to input gain stages in Hi-Fi equipment and voltage amplifier positions in guitar amplifiers.
Sovtek’s version is built in Russia to consistent tolerances, providing reliable performance and a reasonable noise floor. The large octal envelope contributes to its warm, full-bodied character, and the valve’s high gain makes it a useful choice in circuits where a significant voltage gain step is required without resorting to noval preamp types.
Compatible with 6SL7, 6SL7GT, 6H9C and 6N9C positions. Single valve, tested before dispatch.
