The Tung-Sol KT150 is the most powerful octal beam tetrode in current production, delivering up to 70W of plate dissipation in a robust, purpose-designed envelope. Introduced to meet the demands of modern high-power Hi-Fi amplification, the KT150 builds on the KT88 and KT120 legacy with a substantially larger internal structure and increased thermal headroom.
Musically, the KT150 is characterised by exceptional dynamic range, authoritative bass control and a remarkably refined treble — qualities that appeal to the most demanding audiophiles. It has been specified by leading Hi-Fi amplifier designers as an upgrade path in circuits previously using KT88, KT120 or 6550 valves, and is designed to be used as a drop-in replacement in many such amplifiers with minor biasing adjustments.
